Texas and Oklahoma State sit in the top two spots in the conference standings with both sporting a 5-1 record. The 7th ranked Longhorns look to stay in the drivers seat as they tackle Texas Tech in primetime Saturday night at 7:30 on ABC. Meanwhile, as you know, the 15th ranked Cowboys are in the Bounce House for a Saturday 3:30 kick against the Knights on ESPN. More on that in a bit.
Five teams now sit at 4-2 as 16th ranked Kansas hosts Texas Tech at 12 Noon on FS1. Two other 4-2 squads face off as 17th ranked Oklahoma tries to break their two game losing streak against visiting West Virginia, 7:00 on FOX. 25th ranked Kansas State welcomes Baylor, Saturday at 3:30 on ESPN+. The last of the 4-2 teams, Iowa State travels to BYU for a Saturday night encounter at 10:15 on ESPN.
The lone game that does not affect the conference race has Cincinnati at Houston, Saturday night at 7:00 on FS1.
Back to the Cowboys-Knights clash, with the nation’s leading rusher Ollie Gordon II facing off a against a porous UCF run defense, I see this game like others where the Knights go back and forth for awhile but ultimately see Oklahoma State pull away for a 17 point win.
