Is this a let down week for Oklahoma State?

For the second week in a row #PicksAllKnight went 1-4, and we find ourselves sitting at 24-29-2 on the season. I have been a stunning model of consistency, but hope to break the trend this week. (Responsibly, don’t chase your bad weeks, and don’t bet what you can’t lose.) If you like my picks and analysis, please subscribe to the Sons of UCF on X (Twitter) and YouTube! Week 11 Official Picks

Miami Hurricanes @ #4 Florida State Seminoles

Saturday 11/11, 3:30 PM, ABC

My Pick: Florida State (-15)

Sitting at 2-3 in conference, Miami’s conference championship aspirations are over. Tyler Van Dyke has thrown 0 TDs and 5 INTs in his last two games. Doak Campbell is sure to not be so nice to the Hurricanes this weekend either. Florida State will continue to roll in the ACC with eyes on a playoff spot at the end of the season. Florida State is also one of the most complete teams in the country. They have a Heisman caliber QB, a strong running game, stars on the defensive line, and are expecting the return of WRs Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman.

#13 Tennessee Volunteers @ #14 Missouri Tigers

Saturday 11/11, 3:30 PM, CBS

My Pick: Missouri (+1)

This matchup is sure to have explosive plays, solid defensive play up front, and may be the best game of the weekend. Both Tennessee and Missouri have solid offenses ranking 23rd and 36th in scoring offense respectively. Tennessee’s strength this season is particularly in the running game. The Volunteers rank 3rd in rushing offense posting 227.8 rush yards per game. Brady Cook and Missouri rely more on the passing game ranking 23rd in pass yards per game with 284.9 pass yards per game. The difference maker here is success within the red zone. Missouri is the best red zone offense in the country scoring on 97.4% of red zone trips. Tennessee is the 55th ranked red zone defense allowing scores on 81.5% of trips.

#15 Oklahoma State Cowboys @ SPACE U Citronauts

Saturday 11/11, 3:30 PM, ESPN

My Pick: Oklahoma State (-2.5)

I’ll be quick to cut to the chase. UCF will lose their first space game since the tradition started in 2017. Ollie Gordon is 6th in rush yards per carry, 5th in rushing touchdowns, and leading the country in total yards with 1225 yards. UCF has a potent running game as well ranked #4 in the country. I believe Oklahoma State will be able to get enough stops on defense to keep the Citronauts at bay. Keep an eye out for and take the over on Ollie Gordon rushing yards if you can.

Cincinnati Bearcats @ Houston Cougars

Saturday 11/11, 7:00 PM, FS1

My Pick: Houston (-2)

Let’s face it, this is a total sicko pick. Neither team has been dependable, but one team is floundering while the other has been surprising in spots. Reports came out that a Cincy team meeting got “heated” as players and coaches both voiced frustrations amid a 7 game losing streak. Do the bearcats get off the mat after officially being eliminated from any post season play? Probably not. Houston is also in a spot at home looking to fight for a bowl game bid needing two wins against their final three opponents Cincinnati, Oklahoma State, and UCF. Give me Dana and the Fighting Holgerson’s by a field goal.

Iowa State Cyclones @ BYU Cougars

Saturday 11/11, 10:15 PM, ESPN

My Pick: BYU (+7)

Let me know if you had Vampires on your college football bingo card. BYU is a totally different team at night and the stats are a bit staggering. Since 2019, BYU is 14-15 straight up in games that kick off before 6pm, and 27-3 in games that kick off after 6pm. Couple this trend with what should be a low scoring affair matching up with Iowa State and a top 30 team in total defense. Give me the vampires and the touchdown.
