As we roll around the estimated halfway point of the Big 12 schedule let’s see what we think we know so far.
#6 Oklahoma is at the top at 4-0 after narrowly escaping the Knights last weekend. Four teams sit at 3-1. Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and 7th ranked Texas. The Sooner own a tie-breaker over the Longhorns by winning their matchup earlier this month. Another four teams sit at 2-2 in Kansas, BYU, Baylor and this week’s Knights opponent West Virginia.
So, what do we know? Oklahoma certainly is in the driver’s seat to finish atop the conference. But, did the Knights expose any weaknesses in the Sooners? Texas as the other nationally ranked team is still the favorite to score a rematch with the Sooners in the conference championship but faces two of the other 3-1 teams. In fact, all 3-1 teams face two of the others so that could generate all sorts of scenarios at the end of the conference season. So, after all that, do we really know anything?

Oklahoma is at Kansas, 12 Noon on FOX
Kansas State hosts Houston, 12 Noon on ESPN2
BYU is at Texas, 3:30 on ABC
Iowa State takes on Baylor, 3:30 on ESPN+
Cincinnati travels to Oklahoma State, 8:00 on ESPN2
The UCF – West Virginia clash is at noon on FS1. The Mountaineers went back and forth with Oklahoma State dropping that contest. I expect more of the same with this week, with Knights taking the win by a touchdown.
