Well, if you think we didn’t really know anything about the Big 12 Conference race last week, we know even less this week. The Kansas upset of Oklahoma last week created a five way tie for first in the conference. Three games this week have a significant impact on the race.
We start with one of the great rivalries in college sports as two of the leaders square off. It’s Bedlam between #10 Oklahoma and Oklahoma State for what could be the last time in this epic series as the Sooners depart for the SEC, unless the schools schedule out of conference. This has been a very lopsided series with Oklahoma owning a 91-19 record with 7 ties. The Sooners have won 7 of the last 8 with the Cowboys last getting a win in 2021. Oklahoma has struggled in escaping UCF and the loss to the Jayhawks while the Cowboys come in having won 4 in a row. Bedlam kicks off at 3:30 Saturday on ABC.

Two of the other 4-1 teams also matchup this week as #25 Kansas State visits #7 Texas. The Wildcats have won 3 in a row and the Longhorns two straight. This one is a Big Noon kickoff, Saturday on FOX.

4-1 Iowa State hosts #22 Kansas which comes in at 3-2 and aiming to keep their conference title game hopes alive. You can catch this one Saturday night at 7 on ESPN.
One conference game is already on the books this week with Texas Tech defeating TCU 35-28 on Thursday night.

On Saturday, Houston travels to Baylor, 3:30 on ESPN+
BYU visits West Virginia, at 7:00 on FS1. The Mountaineers are 3-2 in conference and a win keeps them in the conference title game race.

How does UCF respond to last weeks loss to West Virginia as they travel to Cincinnati? Both teams are still looking for that first Big 12 win but as familiar foes in the American, it would feel a little hollow not getting it against a legacy Big 12 team. The Bearcats, in their first post-Luke Fickell season are having a dreadful year. The Knights will capitalize on this having a clearly better offense and come away with a 10 point win.
