UCF Unveils New Roth Tower
UCF leaders, donors, boosters, and media had the chance to get an up-close look at the newly renovated Roth Tower at Acrisure Bounce House Stadium in advance of the start of the 2026 season.
After receiving approval from Orange County for $90 million in Tourist Development Tax funding in October 2023, UCF announced the Roth Tower expansion in December 2024.
Two years later, the final touches are coming along.
The project includes 28 luxury suites, 34 outdoor Sky Suites, and 42% more club seats.
The Sky Suites, priced at $40,000 for the season, feature a unique luxury-seating concept: a semi-private, open-air experience with shade in the Orlando heat.
The venue also features four levels that expand the club space from 4,400 square feet to 15,650 square feet, a 256% increase.
Along with the enhanced club spaces, Roth Tower includes a renovated sixth-floor press box and even large broadcast booths for radio and TV.
The renovation comes just in time as it will make its official debut on Sept. 3 when the Knights welcome Bethune-Cookman.
UCF Vice President and Director of Athletics Terry Mohajir said getting the project done right before the season is an amazing feeling.
“We’re excited,” Mohajir said. “Everything we promised would happen and be done, we’re on schedule to do so.”
The Acrisure Bounce House is known for its electric environment during football games, however, Mohajir envisions the facility to be used beyond the seven home games this season.
“This is a serious space that you can use for wedding receptions, sales seminars, lecture series, and birthday parties” Mohajir said. “We could probably program ten separate events in this building at one time.”
The new Roth Tower aims to set UCF apart from other Big 12 programs and put them on par with any Power Four school in the country, according to Mohajir.
The tower is the first in upgrading the athletic department, UCF is still seeking $119 million in additional funding to upgrade athletics broadcast and production capabilities.
Additionally, they hope to use that money to renovate the softball, soccer and track and field facilities.
“We are the premier collegiate partner in this region,” Mohajir said. “It’s time we let people know that we’re not this sleepy little school in eastern Orlando anymore. We’re awake and ready to go.”
