UCF volleyball’s offensive and defensive prowess suffocated the Stetson Hatters 3-0 on Wednesday night at The Venue in Orlando.

The Knights’ (6-1, Big 12) dominant win comes after clinching two series victories early in the 2026 season at the Black and Gold Classic and the Wake Forest Tournament.

Stetson (3-3, ASUN) brought the matchup to its closest of the night in the first set, keeping the contest tied 16-16. Though a block from redshirt junior middle blocker Sasha Cohen halted the Hatters’ momentum and led the Knights to take the first set, 25-17.

Kills from freshman opposite hitter Natasha Casey and senior outside hitter Avah Armour in the second set continued UCF’s offensive stride, contributing to the team’s kill percentage of .515. Maintaining a distant lead, the Knights rounded the second set, 25-15.

Stetson could not rally against UCF’s pressure on both sides of the net as an attack error by Stetson outside hitter Soraya Teston sealed the third set in the Knights’ favor, 25-13.

UCF netted an overall hitting percentage of .343, while Stetson notched -.011, holding the Hatters to 16 kills or fewer for the second consecutive season. Casey led the offensive charge for the Knights with a career-high of 14 kills, making it the most by a freshman since Armour achieved 15 at Houston in Nov. 2023.

Sophomore outside hitter Nygeria Hart reached a career-high eight kills, while redshirt senior setter Abby Schomers finished with 29 assists, moving her into fourth in all-time program history in career assists, surpassing former UCF setter Marie Reiterova.

UCF continues its homestand to face the Virginia Cavaliers (3-2, ACC) for its first Space Game of the season at 2 p.m. on Saturday at The Venue in Orlando.
