Six games adorn the schedule this week in the Big 12 and it kicks off on Friday night with a Texas tango as Houston travels to TCU. That will be at 7:30 on ESPN
The Saturday slate looks like this:
Oklahoma State hosts West Virginia, 4:00 on ESPN2
#16 Iowa State welcomes Baylor at 7:30 on FOX
Kansas travels to Arizona State, 8:00 on ESPN2
And in Big 12 After Dark, Arizona entertains Texas Tech at 11:00 on FOX
The bye teams this week are: Colorado, #17 BYU, #12 Kansas State, Cincinnati and #18 Utah
The lone non-conference game brings us the long awaited Gasperilla Bowl rematch between our Knights and Florida Gators under the Saturday night lights in Gainesville. That one kicks at 7:45 on the SEC Network.
The players of the week for last week in the Big 12 are K-State QB Avery Johnson on offense as he had 3 TD passes and 2 rushing scores in their win over Oklahoma State. On defense, Arizona defensive back Tacario Davis had 7 tackles and 5 pass breaks in their upset of Utah. On Special Teams JP Richardson of TCU had an 89 yard punt return TD in their victory at Kansas
And congratulations to Big 12 Deputy Commissioner Tim Weiser who will retire at the end of the year after 40 years in college athletics. He has held the deputy commissioner post in the conference since 2008.
