It was a 9-2 out of conference record for the Big 12 last week. Week 2 also saw a conference matchup that didn’t count as a conference game as Kansas State thumped Arizona and of course UCF topping TCU in the only conference game.
Week 3 features 8 games with 6 of them conference tilts and all games are on Saturday this week:
It kicks off with Houston at Cincinnati at 12 noon on FS1
Also at noon, Kansas visits West Virginia on ESPN2
Out of conference, #20 Iowa State welcomes Arkansas State at 2:00 on ESPN+
Arizona State battles Texas Tech, 3:30 on FS1
In a ranked matchup, #12 Utah battles #14 Oklahoma State, 4:00 on FOX
In the annual battle for the Iron Skillet, TCU is at SMU at 5:00 on the CW in the other out of conference matchup
Baylor squares off against Colorado, 8:00 on FOX
And #13 Kansas State is at BYU at 10:30 on ESPN
The byes this week fall to Arizona and our UCF Knights as they get a breather before facing Colorado next week giving a little rest to RJ Harvey, who epitomized the definition of putting the team on his back rushing for 180 yards on 29 carries with 2 TDs and catching a 29 yd TD pass for good measure in the victory over TCU to be named the Big 12 offensive player of the week.
The defensive player of the week was Colorado’s two-way star Travis Hunter with 5 tackles and a pick in their win over Colorado State and Kansas State’s Dylan Edwards was the special teams player of the week by way of a 71 year punt return against Arizona.
